Hazbin Hotel's Creator Has Seen Your Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Good News

The much-anticipated second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video this week, and audience theories has been intense.

The first season presents a large cast of characters living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds with songs about their clashes, and builds heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that drive fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Could a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator stated recently. "But I believe that me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by the production companies, which finance the series.

That could imply viewers have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how fast season 2 progresses, and how many of what they're waiting for happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some fascinating origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — especially in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a couple people create a prediction grid about season 2," she mentions. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
